CommandLine-option /Merge adds only first PDF-file

Hello together,

I would like to combine multiple PDF-files in a batch-file to one PDF-file using the commandline-parameter "/Merge". But the created PDF-file only contains the first PDF-file from the given list of PDF-files and not all PDF-files.

The used command-line is:

"C:\Program Files\PDFCreator\pdfcreator.exe" /Merge "D:\Test1\CD_DMON02043_ST01.PDF" "D:\Test1\CD_DMON02043_ST02.PDF" "D:\Test1\CD_DMON02043_ST03.PDF" /Outputfile="D:\Temp\test123.pdf" /Printer="PDFCreatorAuto" /Profile="PDFCreatorAuto"

The 3 single PDF-files exist and if I combine them interactive with the PDFCreatorDialog using the configured Printer "PDFCreatorAuto" its working perfect.

Could anyone please tell me, what's wrong with my batch-command.

Mein Antivir Programm "Ashampoo-Antivirus" erkennt den PDF Creator als ungewolltes Programm aus folgenden Gründen:

ApplicationAppInstall(A) in pdfforge
Verdächitges Verhalten "TrojanDownloader" von PDFCreatorSetup.exe
HiddenInstallation MSIFD05.tmp
HiddenInstallation MSIEFD2.tmp

Auch, wenn es sich um eine kostenlose Version handelt, hat kein Hersteller das Recht auf meinem PC ungewollt etwas zu installieren.

COM Interface with MS Access Reports

I have an MS Access database that I use to create invoices for our charity. For each member exactly one invoice should be exported as PDF. The file name is equal to the invoice number.

In March 2020 I used it for the first time and it worked without problems. Now I have version PDFCreator 4.0.2 and there are considerable problems with the output. File name and print job do not always match. I have outsourced the VBA script to a function. The path with file name and ID is passed.

Up to number 46 file name and PDF content are correct. At number 47 is the error. Filename is correct, but the content of number 46.

I have tried to find the error, but with each run it is always different numbers that are not correct. The number of wrong files is also different.

My guess was that the print job could not be read into the queue in time. If this happens, it starts again from the beginning - until Export = True. But that seems not to be the reason. He had this several times and still exported correctly.

Which also happens sometimes: when the function is called for a new file, that the initialization cannot take place because it is already initialized. It seems that the ReleaseCom did not work in the previous run.

Do you have an idea?

Encryption serious problem

Hello all, this is my first topic. Thank you in advance for your answers.

For my PDF I use 'Encryption' to allow the user to ONLY print the document. When I open this pdf with a reader (Acrobat Reader, Foxit) the behaviour is correct and all actions are blocked (except printing)

The problem occurs when I open it with a browser directly from an email.
For example if you open an attached pdf in web outlook with firefox, you can COPY content from the document without problem!
Same thing opening the attached pdf in gmail web.

How is it possible? Browsers or webmail can bypass encryption so easily?
I use pdf creator free v4.10 build 13336 so the encryption is max 128 bit aes.

Is this the problem?

Split huge PDF in several 1 page PDFs (PDFCreator Terminal Server)

We would like to purchase "PDFCreator Terminal Server" and we would like to know if we can split huge pdfs, for example a pdf with 50 pages, into several pdfs of 1 page. The thing is we would like to do this easly and not one by one page.
Do you know if it is possible or how we can do it?

Deinstallation PDF Creator Terminalserver

Hallo Leute,

ich habe bei einem Kunden ein Problem. Und zwar haben wir doort auf basis eines Servertemplates die neuen VMs geklont. Auf dem Template wurde der PDF-Creator installiert.

Nun wurden aber drei der Server zu Terminalservern upgrgradet. Leider war uns nicht bewusst, dass der PDF-Creator auf dem Terminalserver anders zu lizenzieren und installieren ist.

Das Problem vor dem ich jetzt stehe ist, dass sich der PDF Creator nun auch nicht mehr deinstallieren lässt. Wenn ich die Deinstallation über die Systemsteuerung versuche sagt mir die Ereignisanzeige nur Fehler 1602 -> Programm nicht deinistalliert

Mit der orginalen Installationsquelle kann ich es auch nicht deinstallieren, da diese sich auf einem Terminalserver ausführen lässt, daher brauche ich da jetzt Hilfe, bevor ich alle Einträge aus der Registry von Hand entfernen darf.

Deploy PFDCreator 4.1.1 with SCCM

Goodday.
I try to deploy PDFCreator 4.1.1 throught SCCM but it seems to hang.

I have made a install.bat with the following command.
msiexec.exe /i "PDFCreator-4_1_1_26786-Setup_x86.msi" /q /LANG=DUTCH /ForceInstall /VERYSILENT /norestart

Setup server to save to local directory

Ok ... newbie question. Answer is probably right in front of my face. How do I set up the queue target directory to save to a local folder? I want to save to the user's local c:\temp_fm folder.

I currently have it set up as: <ClientComputer>\c:\temp_fm

I've tried with and without the leading slash. Nothing works. I can save all day long to the server but need to save to the local.

This error is being logged:

[Error] pdfforge.PDFCreator.Core.Workflow.ConversionWorkflow.RunWorkflow: Error FilePath_InvalidRootedPath: Invalid Profile

PDFCreator puts dashes instead of dots in sheet numbers!

We have sheet names with periods in the number which PDF Creator prints as dashes! For example P.1.2 - Plumbing Sheet would print as P-1-2-Plumbing sheet. WHY is this? How do you print the sheets EXACTLY like they show in Revit with dashes AND dots?

Déplacement pdfcreator server vers un nouveau serveur

Je souhaite migrer mon pdfcreator server vers un nouveau serveur.

J'ai installé l'application sur le nouveau serveur mais il m'est impossible d'activer ma licence sur ce serveur. J'obtiens le message suivant :

L'activation a échouée
La licence a dépassée le nombre autorisé de machines activées.

Hallo PDF Forge Support,

kennt jemand diese Fehlermeldung? Seit ein paar Wochen kann man keine Bilder(jpg/png) mehr über Drag and Drop und über das Kontextmenü im Windows konvertieren und kommt immer mit dieser Fehlermeldung. Andere Dateien wie Word, andere PDFs und txt Dateien sind kein Problem.
Könnte es vielleicht irgendwie eine Druckereinstellung sein? (da haben wir etwas geändert, ein neuer Standarddrucker per GPO)
Ich nutze Version 4.1.2 und habe auch eine gekaufte Terminalserver Version im Einsatz, alle User sind betroffen.

Wenn man die Bilddatei direkt öffnet und dann auf den PDF Creator druckt klappt es wie vorher.

Errorlog:

PDF creator installs at the same time as itself, a series of crappy software without authorization and which are detected as viruses. (adaware, ...)
It really is a lack of seriousness. :rage:

Profile Verschwinden

Hallo zusammen,

ich habe ein Merkwürdiges Phänomen mit dem PDF creator 3.5.1.
Hier verschwinden ohne ersichtlichen Grund einfach die eingestellten Profile eines Users an einem PC. Das Voreingestellte Profil speichert die PDF an einen festgelegten Ort auf der Festplatte.
Unter einem anderen User auf demselben PC sind die Profile noch sichtbar.
Meine Profil liste sieht im Fehlerfall wie folgt aus:
pdfcreator_missing_profiles

Ich konnte bisher keinen Anhaltspunkt finden, wieso dieser User die Profile verliert.
Es sind keine Windows Updates installiert worden, der PDF Creator hat auch kein Update bekommen.
Kennt jemand von euch dies Phänomen oder kann es gar lösen ?

j'ai voulu mettre à jour pdfcréator, (j'avais 2.2 .)
télechargement de PDFCreator-4_1_2-Setup.exe,
il ne veut pas s'installer.
j'ai mis à jour .net framework 4.7.2.
comme c'était demandé.
Avez-vous des solutions ? merci

Lossing Profiles

Hello, everyone,

i have a strange phenomenon with the PDF creator 3.5.1.
For no apparent reason the profiles of a user on a PC disappear. The preset profile saves the PDF to a fixed location on the hard disk.
The profiles are still visible under another user on the same PC.
My profile list looks like this in case of an error:
pdfcreator_missing_profiles

So far I could not find any clue why this user loses the profiles.
There are no Windows updates installed, the PDF Creator has not been updated.
Does anyone of you know this phenomenon or can solve it ?
