Hi all. So, here it is .....
I have hundreds of existing WORD and PDF documents and want to make them available to my clients, on-line. For regulatory reasons, each client should receive these documents with their own (client-specific) header. For WORD files, I use an AutoOpen macro in the file that inserts the appropriate logo in the header area when the client opens the file. I am looking for a tool that will do the equivalent for PDFs. Can PDF Creator do this for me?I realise that one option is to convert all my PDFs into WORD.
Thanks for your attention.

I have the following filename setting in my PDFCreator profile:
< InputFilename >.pdfThis works for eg test.pdf. The HotFolder will produce a file with name test.pdf.pdf
But, When I am using test.txt for input then output file is test.txt - Notepad.pdf.pdf
Why is that?

I just upgraded our terminal server 2008 from standard to enterprise and it is telling me my key is now invalid.
I cannot login to your portal and when I entered the login email to retrieve the password I did not get a response. I tried to request again but the request was denied the second time. Now when I attempt to login the account is locked. There is no way to contact support that I can see. Even though your website says premium customers get priority email support. What is the email? I need a new key asap. I even used the form based contact page but even that doesn't work. I have numerous employees that need this product

Hi
I am about to supply 150 .pdf files with a security password and restrictions on editing.
Is it possible to create and run a batch process applying it to all the 150 files? If yes, how?I know that Adobe Acrobat Pro has this feature (Action Wizard)....
Thanks!

Hi y'all!
even though support for v1.7.3 has ended a couple of years ago I'm still hoping for an answer.
We're using PDFCreator as a way to automatically create PDFs from RTF files by starting the PDF creator process with parameters "/PF" from our application. This seemed to work quite well for a while but occasionally the PDFCretor stops working and doesn't convert any files. Even if I manually start the PDFCreator and try to load a rtf file nothing happens. Right now, only a reinstall seems to help. After that, the PDFCreator is working again for a short period of time.
The PDFCreator log doesn't say anything, by the way.The described problems are occuring on both Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows Server 2012.
I hope somebody can help.
Kind regards

Hi,
I have been automating the creation of PDF files using The com interface and Windows PowerShell. It worked super well on machines that had PowerShell version 3 and above, AND with computers that had an internet connection.
I have two questions:
1) What is the minimal version needed of PowerShell for the com interface to work properly?
2) I have an error message when I install pdf creator on a Windows Server 2008 Box that does NOT have access to the internet. It tries to connect to the internet to download and install additional files apperently, even though I have downloaded a full version of the PDFCreator installer. It is possible to by pass this (choosing not to install these additional files) and continue the installation anyway. What is the repercution of this choice? what is he trying to download?When I skip that download part, and execute my code I have the following error message: "Could not find the method 'Initialize'".
It seems like the additional download adds this method to the basic dll. would that possible? or could I have this error message simply because it was ran on Powershell 2.0 box?
Thanks for your fast answer!

Bonjour,
Je dois créer une application SCCM afin d'installer PDFCreator 2.3.1 sur une centaine de postes.
Cette application ne doit pas installer PDF Architect 4.
J'ai donc créé un custom.inf :
[Setup]
Lang=French
Dir=C:\Program Files\PDFCreator
Group=PDFCreator
NoIcons=0
SetupType=custom
Components=program
Tasks=desktopicon,desktopicon\common,winexplorer
Printername=PDFCreator
OFFER=0et voici ma ligne de commande :
PDFCreator-2_3_1-Setup.exe /ForceInstall /VERYSILENT /LOADINF="custom.inf" /NORESTART
"PDF Architect 4 Installer has encountered a problem. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
We are created an error report that you can send to us. We will treat this report as confidential and anonymous."En mettant SILENT dans la ligne de commande, je vois que PDFCreator essaye quand même d'installer le "nouveau PDFArchitect" !
Quelqu'un a-t-il déjà rencontré ce problème ?
Merci d'avance pour vos réponses

Hi,
Am trying to print Excel sheets to PDF with custom margins.
Even when these are wider than the 'narrow margin' setting in Excel, PDF Creator arbitrarily cuts off the text so the left and right edges of text are missing. If set to 'narrow' it prints to PDF fine.
Also, to clarify, there is no issue when printing physically - the whole document is printed fine.
Only when I use PDF creator is there a strip of margin where no text appears so that words at the left and right are cut in half or not appearing at all.
Also there seem to be no available settings to fix this.
Is it just the case that PDF Creator literally CANNOT print within a certain distance of the edge of an A4 page? This is how it appears.

Hi,
I have been using pdf creator for more than ten years now. At some point the handling of the token for the autosave function was changed. Since then I can't set the parameters to have this result:
config autosave D:\data\plot
printed file: test.docx
result: D:\data\plot\test.pdfUnfortunately it results always like this.
D:\data\plot\test\test.pdf
How can I get rid of the extra folders in the path.
I still remember the times it worked.
Well, actually the naming of the token was a little different.System: Workstation, lokal paths, Win 7 or Win 10 Prof 64
Thanks for any help!

Hello,
I think I have the configuration setup correct and HotFolder sees the files and tries printing but nothing ever prints. The TIF files are moved to another folder indicating they were successfully printed but they never print to PDF.
For every file that gets processed by the HotFolder I get a prompt telling me that "PDFCreator needs to temporarily change the default printer to be able to convert the file. Do you want to proceed?" I always select Yes and nothing results from it. Also, PDFCreator is the default printer on my computer so I am a little surprised it would even ask.
Also, going into trace mode I get the following:
2016-08-20 09:17:28.3793 [Info] 444-1 (ProgramThread) pdfforge.PDFCreator.Startup.PrintFileStart.Run: Launched printjob with PrintFile command.

Type: System.NullReferenceException
Message: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
2016-08-20 09:17:29.5063 [Error] 444-1 (ProgramThread) pdfforge.PDFCreator.Startup.PrintFileStart.Run: The file "C:\HotFolder\Claims\IN\r32-0002-0000.tif" could not be printed!Has anyone seen this before? Also, can someone answer me what the premium support is? I read something about email an address directly but never found an email address for me to use.
Thanks

I've just installed a newly downloaded copy of PDF Creator. When I open a .xps file, the PDF Creator printer is there and after selecting that and printing to file, I get a file that cannot be opened by Acrobat Reader or Libre Office. The former says it is an email or the coding is corrupt. The xps file is 18Mbs, but the file produced by PDF Creator is 60MB.
Any suggestions please ?

Hi folks,
I'm new on PDF Creator, and I've problems generating PDF documents, using "PDF Creator" by COM interface.
Simply, the PDF documents does not integrate ALL fonts needed by the report.The PDF Creator is installed as "Server Installation" and configured as in the image below:
And these are the PDF properties of the file generated:This is the PDF's properties of the report printed RIGHT:
This is the PDF's properties of the report printed WRONG:
Surely I have been inaccurate on many details, so forgive me because I "won" this issue without knowing PDF Creator...

Hallo,
