PDFCreator Terminal Server & HotFolder using same settings in a Cloud Environment

PDFForge,

We are running PDFCreator Terminal Server in a Cloud environment. We have 3 technical people on this team and 2 users. Once I define/set the settings/printers, etc on HotFolder, how can these settings be shared? I.E. tonight I had another person log into the Cloud and Start HotFolder. Yet, they had their own instance of HotFolder and had no setting. I have done a ton of testing with HotFolder, created the printer settings and finally gotten it to run.
Now, how can we make this shared? I.E. that once I configure everything, everyone else on the team can start HotFolder and what I have done is available to them. They do not get their own instance of HotFolder, they get the team instance of HotFolder where everyone has the same information and it is shared. I do not want them to have to redo what I have done or have their own configuration. This is the reason why we are running in the Cloud, to have everything shared with the team.
Can someone plz let me know how we can achieve this? Thanx in advance.

Colour not matching

@MircoS wrote:

Hello
I’m using the PDFCreator already couple of years and I never had any problems.

But unfortunately now I have one.

I created a PDF from a Cad-program and the colours which come out are completely different to what I want.
I have the latest version 3.2.0 Build 11758. I’m using just the free version.

I have tried already different things to find out what is wrong and it is clearly the PDFCreator because if I use a different one it works as usual.

Maybe some has a tip for me.

Thanks in advanced

I’m writing some Excel code to generate a password protected PDF using VBA. It’s working so far except I don’t want the current PDF viewer opening after the file is saved. However, when I add the following line to my script, I get an run-time error:

PrintJob.SetProfileSetting "PdfSettings.OpenViewer", "false"
PrintJob.ConvertTo SavePath

At this point, Excel is broken and I have to exit Excel and re-load. Comment the line out and it works fine.

PDFcreator does not respect Chrome margins when printing webpage

@pstein wrote:

On a web page in Chrome I press Crtl+P to get the print preview.
On the left I enable “custom” in Margins drop down.
So between the left paper border and the beginning of text fit at least 5 chars.

However when I print the page with PDFCreator v3.2.0 under 64bit Win7 then then resulting pdf page has very small margins and show e.g. at most a one-char-margin at the left.
At the top the same issue occurs.

So why does PDFCreator pdf printer driver not respect the margin settings of chrome?

Other pdf printer drivers do!

Page orientation problem when converting pdf to PDFA

@nicke82 wrote:

Hi, I drag drop a pdf to the Choose a File to Convert pane in PDFCreator.
I then choose the PDF/A profile to convert the PDF to PDF/A.

The problem is the orientation with the resulting PDF/A.
If I set Orientation to Landscape for the profile the result is Landscape.
If I set Orientation to Portrait for the profile the result is Landscape.
If I set Orientation to Auto-Detect for the profile the result is Portrait.

How to set the orientation to Portrait?
The Auto-Detect-option sets the orientation to Portrait but it does not feel reliable.

Thank you for any help!

PDFCreator Server - 1 user always prints as Administrator

@bartv wrote:

Hi,

We run PDFCreator Server and deploy some PDF printers with GPO. Each user prints to his own directory using the Author token. This works good for almost all users.

For one user this does not work. It does not matter if i use Author, UserName or PrintJobAuthor… It always prints to the Administrator directory.

If i make a test print on the pdf printer when logged in as this user the test print shows the expected username but the result is not as Expected. The PDF ends op in the Administrator directory. The PDF creator log also shows Administrator for this print.

PDFForge,

it is taking approx 1 min 05 sec to convert from a pdf to a

with the Cloud vendor and he increased the size of the space I
had and stated the processor was running at 30%. They told me
to check with the vendor of the product. Thanx in advance and
I look forward to hearing back.

Hello,

I am looking for a script to save a pdf file to a path with a special name.
The trick is i only want to have to fill in a small part of the path and a part of the file name, and the file name also has to containe the date.

For example the path/name is:
C:\projects\13-2332\calculations\R2R 13-2332 20180519 Main calculation.pdf

The 2 varaiabels are 13-2332 and Main calculation
And 2080519 is the date

Is that possible ?

We got documentation from your group which details how to setup the group policies, etc and then how to export & import the setting from PDF Creator.
Can you plz let us know how to do the export & import for Hot Folder. I should not have to go to each account and do this. I should be able to export what I have and then have them import it. This wayany change I make, I can distribute it to the team and we will be fine. I just want them to be Start/Stop HotFolder and that is it. I will ensure it is configured properly. Plz let me know and thanx in advance,.
