When sending a pdf created with pdf creator to outlook a part of the tekst of our HTML signature disappears.
When setting the pJob.SetProfileSetting "EmailClientSettings.Html", "false" the plain text signature is displayed correctly

The part that is being deleted is the name of the signature

Example of the signature:

name | IT Department
T: +32 (0)x xxx.xx.xx | M: +32 (0)xxx xx.xx.xx
email@domain.com

Company | Street xx | xxxx | city

[BUG] A4 portrait + A3 landscape renders wrong scale

@PrzemoF wrote:

I hope it's the right place to report a bug. A document with first page A4 portrait and consecutive pages A3 landscape is rendered incorrectly. The A4 page is OK, the first A3 page is OK, but the consecutive A3 pages are not scaled as the first A3 page. I tested that with excel and libreoffice - both programs export pdfs correctly and both print using pdfcreator incorrectly, so I belive it's a pdfcreator bug. Versions affected: 2.5.3

I don't know how to upload a file here. A temporary location of the test case (libreoffice and excel): [LINK REMOVED - I can't post links]

Edit: I can't post links, so an excel spreadsheet with first tab A4 portrait and second tab A3 landscape (multiple pages) printed as a whole document together should give the same results.

Edit2: I have a test case ready - please PM me if interested.

When a user prints any document to PDF Creator using Adobe Acrobat DC number of pages shows 0.
If you only print the one document/portion of document it works without incident. When you add an additional document and merge, it will wipe content of original document out

First noted on version 2.3.0. Upgraded user to version 2.5.3.
Have replicated issue under Win 7 Pro and Win 10 Pro.

I keep receiving this message and it claims it is a problem with my system. The message is as follows:

The temporary path where PDFCreator stores the print jobs can't be accessed. This is a configuration problem on your machine and needs to be fixed. Do you want PDFCreator to attempt repairing it?
Your spool folder is: C:\Users\Jim\AppData\Local\Temp\PDFCreator

Can anyone tell me how to correct this problem? Thank you.

When upgrading, default to only upgrade existing features

Hello,

I am very pleased with PDFCreator, but I have not installed nor do I wish to use PDFForge, Images2PDF, Hotfolder or any other feature in the package.

When offered/forced to upgrade, I would like you to change the installer so that it only upgrades existing features and keeps the current options.

Upgrading should be silent and non-interactive. The way it is now, I frequently skip versions because I don't want to deal with the hassle of going through a full installer dialog sequence. Extremely annoying.

Thank you for your understanding

Hallo zusammen,

In diesem Sinne. Vielen Dank schonmal.

Printjob size with PDF Creator

$

@ChrisM wrote:

Hi there,

I have a question regarding the file size of the printjob. I followed the tutorial creating a new profile to save a file as PDF and printing it afterwards. This works fine, however the file size of the printjob is exhaustingly high. I wrote '123' with Notepad, sending it to the PDFCreator printer (new profile). The PDF is generated with 17KB and afterwards I find the job in the spooler with approximately 27MB.

It is a network printer in the same network (HP LaserJet 506M). When I redirect the printjob to a printer attached in another network (vpn) the file becomes even bigger. Up to 100MB on a Develop Ineo multifunction printer. Sending the printjob directly the job is printed immediately without any delay.

Generally this would not be an issue, however with some low bandwidth locations this is. Any idea why this is happening and what is causing it?

I am using the normal PDFCreator for testing the feature and putting it onto our Terminal Server with your TS-Version. But this seems to disturb the might!

Thanks Chris

License question

Regarding PDF creator, in our Test environment PDF creator works fine. When I tried to move it to the production server, I got an error that because Terminal Services is installed on the Server we need to purchase the terminal services license. Terminal services is installed to allow both developers and admins access the production server simultaneously. The server is not being used by multiple users to access PDF creator. Just our business process that runs on the server. Is the increased licensing costs truly necessary for such an environment?

Hi! I have a 30-day trial install for PDF Creator Server 2.3. I installed it on a 64bit server. I can not find any options for X86 32bit drivers during the install or config. I have searched the local install folders and did not find any INF files that would work either. I need to be able to install this on an X86 or X64 machine (i don't care which ever works best as per your suggestions) bt I need both x86 and x64 machines to be able to print to the shared PDF printer, how can I accomplish this?

InputFileName adds a space between file name and .pdf

@Romey wrote:

I have been using PDFCreator 1.7.3 for a long time and our company purchased a new computer and installed the latest version 2.53. I used to use the token but the new version does not have this, it looks like token does the same thing though. Our PDF's are made from AutoCAD and these tokens take the file name and also the "Layout" name and use them for the PDF name. We found the putting a "." in front of the Layout name keeps this from being added to the file name which really works well for our needs. My problem is that the latest version of PDFCreator adds a space between the file name and .pdf (11704-3321 .pdf). I am hoping someone has any ideas how to keep this space from being added.

Sorry for the long winded explanation, I am just hoping more information might be helpful.

Thanks in advance for any information!

Setting so text can not be highlighted, I tried everything

@crankylandlord wrote:

Hello, I was wondering if there is a setting that when you save the PDF it takes away the ability to highlight all together. The reason is that I had crossed out sensitive information with Adobe Fill & Sign but when I save it you can still simply highlight what's behind the blacked out text and paste it to see what it is. I tried to use the Security Settings in pdfforge to save and eliminate the ability to Copy where the is an option for that. But this only stops the user from using the mouse hold left button, drag and right click to Copy but not Ctrl + C. I know another option would be to save in a different format, but those formats either don't look good or take up way to big as I have to do this with about 120 pages. Thank you for your help.
