Das Hot Folder funktioniert manchmal nur sporadisch, immer wieder kommt es vor, dass ich den Dienst manuell stoppen und wieder starten muss, damit das Programm darauf reagiert.
Viel zu viele Dateitypen können nicht konvertiert werden. Gerade die standard Officedateien (docx, xlsx, pptx) können nicht gedruckt werden, solange sich keine MS-Office-Version auf dem Server befindet, das die üblichen Standardprogramme zum Öffnen unterstützt ... das kann je nach Anzahl der User die auf so einen Terminal-Server zugreifen gleich in die mehreren zehntausend Euronen gehen. Das ist sehr ärgerlich, da dieses "MUSS" niergends beim Kauf vorher erwähnt wurde. Als Alternative habe ich Open Office installiert, damit die Standarddateitypen abgedeckt sind. Jetzt können immerhin ".docx"-Dateien interpretiert werden, jedoch keine klassischen ".doc"-Dateien ... obwohl diese genau so mit Open Office verknüpft sind. Manuelle Versuche die Verknüpfung noch mal zuzuweisen haben zwar funkioniert aber nichts geändert, die Konvertierung geht immer noch nicht. Öffne ich das gleiche Dokument in Open Office und versuche es manuell über den PDFCreator zu drucken, taucht zwar kurz ein Ladebalken auf aber dann passiert nichts weiter (der gleiche Vorgang mit dem PDF Architect geht ...). Nehme ich die selbe Datei auf meinen Client-PC mit dem Free PDFCreator, klappt es auch ohne Probleme.
Ganz viele Dokumente können nicht vn PDF in PDF/A konvertiert werden, gerade mal 20-30%. Das ist viel zu wenig, dafür das man mit dieser Funktion wirbt.
Nachdem ich einige Hot Folder erstellt habe, konnte ich den letzten Eintrag nicht mehr löschen. Ich konnte diesen zwar über den Eintrag über das "-"-Symbol entfernen aber sobald ich auf "Save" geklickt habe, ist das komplette Programm abgestürtzt. Nichts außer einer kompletten Neuinstallation hat dabei geholfen.
Nachdem ich das Programm neuinstalleirt habe, habe ich erneut Hot Folder zum Testen eingerichtet. Jetzt unterbricht der Vorgang jedes Mal wenn eine Datei dabei ist, die nicht konvertiert werden kann (z.B. *.doc) und es erscheint eine Fehlermeldung, obwohl standardmäßig angewählt ist, dass er nicht konvertierbare Dateien in das dafür vorgesehene Verzeichnis packen soll. Ich bin der Meinung, dass bei den ersten Installation diese Medung nach dem weiteren Vorgehen nicht kam. Die Meldung muss aufjendefall irgendwie deaktiviertbar sein, denn so wird die Funktion dadurch komplett unbrauchbar, da die Meldung auf dem Server erscheint und User sich aber ggf. gar nicht auf diesem befinden, da sie z.B. von ihrem Client PCs über ein Netzwerkverzeichnis auf das dort hinterlegte Hot Folder zugreifen.
Mit um eine schnellstmögliche Lösung
