Creating an interactive PDF (Highlighting certain lines)

Hi there,
I'm not sure if I'm at the right place here but I'll ask my question anyway ;). (correct me if I'm wrong).

I'm trying to figure out how I can highlight certain lines on a PDF by tapping on the PFD with a tablet.
I'm working for a garbage collecting company and the drivers have to ride specific routes. The need to tick on the streeds where they allready have been to not get confused.

Is there a way to make the routes interactive by highlighting the streeds street by street?
