I move it to the edge of the screen once more, modify the filename and author and click Save. Fortunately, the save process doesn't pop yet another centered window and in a few moments it's done.
My humble request, and for the sake of my sanity and likely many others who go through the exact same process, is to add window position memory to PDFCreator. This should open each window at its last position unless that position would make the window completely off-screen.
