I made three profiles. They all make

Profile 1 makes Image compression: ZIP
Profile 2 makes Image compression: JPEG (Maximum)
Profile 3 makes Image compression: JPEG (Minimum)I have an MS Word document with many PNG illustrations. The document file is 13.4 MB. I printed the document using each of the three profiles.
Profile 1 makes a PDF/A file with size 4958435 bytes.
Profile 2 makes a PDF/A file with size 4958435 bytes
Profile 3 makes a PDF/A file with size 4958435 bytes
The files are likely identical, the Image compression descriptor in the profile doing nothing. Moreover, the PDF/A is made with much image compression. Is there no way to make a PDF/A that preserves the original document's image qualities when using PDF Creator? A functioning Profile 1 is desired. From the same Word document competing software from Neevia made a PDF/A file with size 12888347 bytes, more in line with the original document's size. The images in that PDF/A are visibly better -- same resolution but less compression artifacting -- than those in the ones from PDF Creator.
Maybe the error is mine. Where does PDF Creator store its profiles in order to check them?
